I know there's a long running thread for the Gear S2, but I thought I would make an explicit post about the issues that I am currently experiencing (Mods - feel free to merge). I am experiencing two main problems:

1) I cannot get the watch to vibrate on alarm. Other users have stated that if they don't touch the watch after beginning sleep tracking it will work. However, this hasn't worked for me either.

2) After ending sleep tracking from my phone, it will restart itself on the phone until you also manually kill the app on the watch (via recent apps > close all).

Is anyone else still having these issues? I'm happy to help test to resolve these problems if possible!

Also as a side note - The battery life issue has been pretty much resolved for me. I can track a full night of sleep and only use ~30% battery!

Hello,

many thanks for the feedback. The problem is we cannot reproduce those issues on our loaner prototype device. But we have collected some feedback so far and are working on a blind fix.

Regarding 1)
Do you use the DND mode? It seems the watch behaves randomly in this case whether it will vibrate or not..Please try to disable DND although this will cause higher battery consumption..

Regarding 2)
I can confirm this issue appeared with the latest firmware update. We cannot reproduce this as we are unable to install that update on our device. But what will work is if you swipe the app away in the morning on your watch, this will stop the process on the watch and restarting of sleep tracking won't occur any more..

Thank you very much.

1) I do not use DND mode.

2) I think the Gear S2 is in the middle of a firmware roll out so just to be clear, I am on R732XXU2BPA4.

I also forgot to mention one other thing. Heart rate is not recorded through Sleep as Android. It will sync with S Health though if I manually force it.

Thanks so much for your help! Let me know if I can provide more info.

Hello, heart rate is not yes enabled on S2 due to battery consumption, but we plan to bring this feature and make it optional..

Thank you very much.
