Näkökulmia oppimiseen Second Lifessa – Prospects of Learning in Second
Life -konferenssi kokoaa edustavan joukon Second Life -
virtuaalimaailman ja laajemmin virtuaalimaailmojen opetus- ja
koulutuskäytön asiantuntijoita Turkuun lokakuussa 2010. Konferenssi
tarjoaa näköalapaikan opettajille, kouluttajille ja muille oppimisen
parissa työskenteleville tutustua ja syventyä virtuaalimaailmojen
mahdollisuuksiin oppimisympäristöinä ja kehittää omaa
asiantuntemustaan. Konferenssin ohjelma koostuu keynote-esitelmistä
sekä työryhmätyöskentelystä yhdessä konferenssiin saapuvien
asiantuntijoiden kanssa. Konferenssin osallistumismaksu on 80 euroa +
illallinen.

Konferenssin järjestää Åbo Akademin informaatiotutkimuksen oppiaine ja
se on osa ESR-rahotteista Avoimet verkostot oppimiseen (AVO) -
hanketta.

About the conference

Prospects of Learning in Second Life -conference will be held in
Turku, Finland, in October 14-15, 2010. The conference gathers a
representative group of experts with great experience about learning
and teaching in virtual worlds and specifically in the virtual world
of Second Life. The conference offers a great opportunity for
teachers, trainers and others working with learning and teaching to
dive into virtual worlds as learning spaces and to increase their own
expertise in the matter. The program of the conference includes
keynote presentations by invited guests and workshop/roundtable
discussions with experts. Conference fee is 80 euros + conference
dinner.

Conference is arranged by the Department of Information Studies at Åbo
Akademi University and it is part of an ESR funded project called AVO.
