All -

Southwest Region Operation Rattlesnake Roundup is currently underway which is a no-notice region wide exercise, to ensure everyone has the most up to date information I have attached a copy of the Operation Plan.  Operation Rattlesnake Roundup is to be a fun opportunity for the members of SWR to participate and train in a Region-Wide Maximum Effort Readiness Mobility Exercise.

Southwest Region has tasked Texas Wing with flying 4 hours on every airworthy aircraft in Texas Wing, drive each of our roadworthy vehicles 25 miles, use our communications equipment as best we can and provide training to our members and staff.

The deliverables for this mission are a successful training event and a picture or two.  If an Aerial Photography sortie is chosen, provide one or two of the best images. If conducting another one of the training options, take a picture of the activity and our members in action.  If conducting a ground sortie, the same applies, take a great picture  of our members training.  If we can't seem to get a good picture, then how about a selfie of our members and the CAP vehicle (not while driving of course).  It's just that simple; train, have fun, fly an airplane, drive a vehicle, communicate and upload a picture.  Those awesome pictures are to be uploaded into the FEMA Uploader site under the "SWR Ops Ex" Event.  If for some reason the FEMA site is unavailable, then upload a picture in to WMIRS.

To the best of our knowledge this type of mission has never been attempted by a CAP Region.  Let's show the rest of the organization that SWR is on the leading edge of mission preparation and readiness by making this mission a huge success.

Thanks,
