ALL SENIOR MEMBERS:  Open the attachment.  I think we need to have this material (and other comments from our members) covered in a MANDATORY safety
meeting in the very near future.  I will be at tomorrow evenings cadet meeting.  Please remember to be present for the National Commander's Safety briefing which Col Tillery will be conducting.
Also, remember to read the other mandatory "Discrimination" material, along with filling out and sending to Wing, National the response indicating you rad the material.
This must be concluded by 30 September.

I still am not 100% complete with the new lap top I purchases.  A few things remain to be done which I am hoping will be concluded by tonight.  (I hate computers)

So, looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening.  Kassai

Good Afternoon Squadron Commanders & Safety Officers:

I wanted to pass along this Special Emphasis Item from Southwest Region regarding the recent Falcon Virgo that took place in El Paso.

Before many of you pass on this thinking it's just about pilots and aircrews, I want to share that the majority of the report is actually not regarding anything related to flight operations, but things that can impact your squadron at any point in time.

Much of the emphasis is on prior preparation, which we all can learn from, and the rest is about how we as individuals can impact CAP's mission objectives.

Please consult among your various staff and I ask that you advise me when your squadron will be conducting this safety briefing on your next meeting date. This is not a safety down day, so you can still have other activities, but I do ask you spend a considerable bit of time discussing this with your squadrons.

Again, please let me know when you are conducting this training with your squadron and if you find you had an interesting discuss, please relay that back to me so we can maybe pass it along.

Thank you all for all you do everyday and continue to manage risk to the max!

V/R,

~Jawad

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” --Aristotle
