Namaste,
We will have a regular Gurukul session today (03/02/14) starting at 4.05 pm. We will continue to discuss Ramayan in the temple and discussion with the kids and parents on how to proceed with preparing for Ramleela. We will ask for suggestions from the parents on which book of Ramayan we are going to use in preparation of the Ramleela. We will bring 4-5 different books on Ramayan today.
Community service announcements (these pertain to any issues which Gurukul parents might be interested to pursue for their kids, but there is no formal endorsement by Gurukul):
1) Northsouth Foundation, Childrens Bee competition 2014. Registration needs to be completed by 03/22/2014. Here in Utah NSF, organizing the SPELLINGBEE, MATH BEE, SCIENCE BEE AND GEOGRAPHY BEE among children of Indian origin. Further details on www.northsouth.org
Gurukul website: Please visit our web site for new information and details on all sessions: www.SLCGurukul.Org.
2) If a child is absent for THREE consecutive weeks, they cannot continue in the Hindi classes. It is disruptive and disrespectful to the teachers who are working hard as volunteers.
With best regards!
