Please find attached the letter received from Mrs. Sudharshani Ranasuriya ( Lassana Lanka Event Chairwoman) requesting donation from the generated profit from Lassana Lanka event.

Hence, I kindly request Ahmed to check with Social Affairs about the legal formalities towards this donation.

Also, we need to organize the appreciation meeting for entire organizing committee of Lassana Lanka for their handwork.

Dear Ravi,

I have consulted the Ministry of Social Development and I have also collected the necessary paperwork which needs to be completed.  I was advised that it will take up to a month to get the necessary approvals to send the donation as the request needs be reviewed by the Ministry of Interior, who may need to verify the source of funds and the beneficiaries.

Please get any registration documents from the charity in Sri Lanka to prove its legality and forward them to me.  In the meantime, I will translate all the forms from Arabic to English, which will need to be filled and then translated back into Arabic for submission.  

Please note that we are unable to submit the request until after the AGM and the new EXCO has been recognized by the Ministry as the current EXCO term has expired.
