from a major pharmaceutical company got in my cab on Park Avenue and
as usual I asked him what he did to pay the rent. I asked him if all
the government regulations were making him nuts and much to my
surprise, he said, "No, we love the regulations, they keep the
competition from entering the business." I have never seen things the
same way since that day. I never even considered that possibility
before. Boy, was I naïve.
The Slaughtering industry is no different. Corporate slaughter houses
love the regulations and believe you me, hidden as it may be, they
support the animal rights groups who promote and demand that animals
are stunned before slaughtering.
The equipment and facilities, let alone the stringent regulations
which require a team of lawyers to understand and comply with all keep
businesses from entering the industry. Smaller butchers can not
possibly compete given the expense associated with complying with
current regulations. A family farmer can not slaughter their livestock
and sell it locally. A local butcher can no longer compete against the
mass production of packaged meat products. Everything must be trucked
to the giant slaughter plant, sometimes hundreds of miles away from
the ranches and farms, warehoused in giant smelly stockyards and then
become part of the mechanized assembly line to turn living animals
into packaged consumer products.
Yes, folks, you heard it hear first. The entire meat industry loves
the activist and works very hard to destroy the methods sanctioned by
God through His Prophets who were sent to inform us about the best
ways to live our lives. The attack on halal and kosher methods of
slaughtering is all an effort to over-regulate the industry so that it
is completely controlled by a handful of corporations who can then set
the prices and momopolze the market.
Why does the government tolerate it? It serves their interests, of
course. First and foremost their pockets are being lined by corporate
lobbyists who work for the corporate slaughter house industry.
Hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions are spent to enact legislation
that strengthens corporate control and interest of the industry.
Secondly, self sufficient people, families and communities are much
harder to control. Centralizing retail food distribution through
corporations like Wal-Mart and consolidating processing and
manufacturing outlets makes it simple to control the masses in times
of strife, when Marshal Law is declared. Don't think for a minute that
policy Think Tanks have not thought long and hard about this and have
worked to make it a reality.
Communities and families who are self sufficient are far more
dangerous and harder to manage. A couple milk producing goats, a few
chickens, a water well and some solar panels and you need not listen
or rely upon anyone else. Bird Flu!! BIrd Flu! I don't beleive it.
It is virtually impossible to make cheese, milk, butter, butcher
chickens, slaughter livestock and sell the excess to your neighbors
without some government official banging on your door and asking to
see your license. Don't be fooled, it's not really your health they
are concerned about. You are out of business if people do not feel
safe about your products. No one will buy from you. It is all about
revenue and control. It is about taxation. It is about protecting the
corporations who spend enormous amounts of time and money to get the
legislation they need to maintain industry control.
The only thing you can do today is do your best to operate underneath
their radar. Learn to slaughter the proper way. The easy safe way that
makes healthy meat products available and affordable to everyone. Use
the religious exceptions while they still exist.
The local livestock, eating the local vegetation where you live, have
a much higher medicinal quality and protection as do the local
vegetables and fruit eaten in season does.
The many diseases you are reading about associated with meat products
is a direct result of the new corporate methods used for raising and
slaughtering animals. Give it time, this will be proven beyond a
shadow of doubt. I would suggest that it is already well known by the
industry, but the controls are in place and there is no motivation to
loose that control over a few people dying from tainted meat
products.
So before you buy into all this nonsense about the "Humane way of
slaughtering animals" think on it awhile. Electrocuting an animal is
by far a much more painful and dangerous a method. The consumption of
that meat is substandard, really poison to your system. The Prophets
pointed us to the best way for everything in life.
In closing, let me tell you that much needs to be done to educate
people about the proper religious methods of slaughtering. Many
animals are in fact suffering as a result of people who think they
know what they are doing and do not. Giving an animal a drink of water
is manditory before slaughtering. In all my years I have never seen
one religious person take the time to give the animal its last drink.
Without this step, the process looses most of it's protection and
benefits.
Corporate slaughtering processing plants of all kinds, religious or
not, is inhumane towards animals. Animals should be slaughtered and
consumed as locally and naturally as possible. This requires stepping
back to the days when people had several local butchers who were all
expert in animal slaughter. Animals were transported a few miles not a
few hundred miles. Butchers would make house calls and butcher on the
local farmers property. Animals were treated with much more respect
because the one raising them was overseeing the operations. The
farmers or ranchers children, families and neighbors looked on.
Stunning animals is cruel and inhumane and should be stopped.
Corporate greed has destroyed America and is the root cause of the
many problems we are experiencing with packaged processed meat
products.
Stop buying your meat from Wal-Mart. Stop buying anything from Wal-
Mart! Start supporting local independent butchers. If they call
themselves a Rabi or Imam, nothing can be done to stop them. Not yet.
Join a cooperative and share the expense of butchering your own
locally raise livestock. Each month slaughter and distribute what meat
you need for your families.
