Did you verify that this fix is in place that was mentioned in this thread? I know that it produced a simliar file permission error.

You might also want to grab the bleeding edge from Github today if your current copy is older than from yesterday afternoon. It had a fix that was stopping the proper required pages from being generated that got me going. I had to delete my existing Slatwall files and replace with the new copies. Hope this helps.
