《GNU》與《LibreOffice 排版設計》翻譯工作報告

一、GNU 網站
今年初在軟體自由協會中報告過希望能翻譯 GNU 網站上的內容，長期目標是希望能翻譯完自由軟體基金會出版的《Free Software, Free Society》和《Free as in Freedom (2.0)》這兩本書。

其中《Free Software, Free Society》是 Richard Stallman 的文選，基本上都放在 GNU 網站上，所以只要翻譯好 GNU 上對應的文章即可完成，計 43 篇文章與 2 篇附錄，為本翻譯計畫的優先實現目標。

目前已完成 1-1 The Free Software Definition, 1-2 The GNU Project, 1-5 Why Software Should Not Have Owners, 1-10 Selling Free Software, 2-13 Categories of Free and Nonfree Software, 3-21 What Is Copyleft?

至於非書籍文選方面，則翻譯好 GNU 官網首頁、common distros、gnu、about gnu、gnu history、philosophy。

翻譯流程：

1. 加入 Savannah 的 www-zh-tw 專案
   
2. 開 Tasks 認領翻譯，或開 Bugs 提報翻譯問題
3. 完成工作後將狀態改為 Ready For Test，找其他人校對
4. 校對完後，提請我協助提交翻譯 po 檔，並將狀態改為 Done

二、LibreOffice 排版設計
年中會議時我有提過會趁我八月、九月有空閒的時間開始協助《Designing with LibreOffice》一書的中文翻譯，書名定為《LibreOffice 排版設計》。不過後來我的八月、九月除了忙離職、搬家、放空外，也花了些時間開始趕 LibreOffice 5.4 的翻譯。因為 5.4 版剛出來時，我工作尚未有時間處理，因此 5.4.2 之前版本的中文 UI 翻譯相當不完整，而這次也趁假期趕完了 5.4 UI 的翻譯。十月我前往 LibreOffice 大會，並開始補完一些我手邊關注的翻譯專案，例如 Fedora 等，最近也將 Weblate 這個開源翻譯平臺的介面翻譯修訂完成。最近十一、十二月，LibreOffice 6 忙著準備，翻譯字串又改了許多，目前正一併處理中。

至於《LibreOffice 排版設計》這本書，目前完成了第一章、附錄A、附錄C 的翻譯，第二章我正在進行中，第十六章由 Jeff Huang 認領翻譯中。

翻譯工具：OmegaT 4 團隊式翻譯（透過 github 協作）
協作流程：

1. 開 Issue 認養章節
2. 利用 OmegaT 4 協作翻譯該章節（OmegaT 用法 https://libreo-zht.blogspot.tw/2015/04/omegat-libreoffice.html）
3. 完成翻譯後開另一 Issue 提請他人校對
4. 完成校對後關閉兩則 Issue

翻譯工作：

1. 各章節翻譯
2. 每章節完成找親朋好友閱讀並校對
3. 完成所有章節
4. 加入中文版對應要有的內容，例如：中文的自由字型、中文的文字排印學
5. 四處找人閱讀校對
6. 正式發表
