This app is in beta, you are the first ones to try it. I have had a few questions already. When you first open the app if you have a tank that's on the go, its a very rough estimate. In order for the app to be accurate you need to calibrate the tank. If its a standard BBQ tank and your not sure what the weight it whether its an 18.7 or 17lb it will guess for you. a majority of the BBQ size tanks (20lb) out there are the 18.7 variant. If you read the collar it will say beside TW. Its the weight of the tank itself with no propane in it.

If you know what it is,  you can select it and it will be even more accurate (within 3%)

Once you have an empty or full tank you can calibrate it, hit calibrate, choose the tare weight TW if you know it and slap the tank. you may need to slap it 2 - 3 times before it calibrates. Once it is calibrated you do not ever need to re calibrate it unless you switch to a new tank. Once it is calibrated it is very acurrate.
