2. Yesterday I took an old PC from the basement, installed a trial version of unraid 6.11.5 and setup a windows server 2016 with virtio-win-0.1.225-2.iso and ran into the same trouble. The virtio-guest driver for 2k16 can't be installed.

I didn't tried to install a windows client (I'll try the german version of windows 10 later) - but I had no problems with windows server 2019 - it's just the install of the GERMAN version of windows server 2016...

I didn't knew this post, but did exact the same procedure a few days ago. The result was an successfully installed Virtio Ethernet Adapter without function. There was no network connection available... Version 5.1 was my default at that time. I also tested q35 - all ended up in an non functional network.

Once every two (more or less) raids my audio on discord gets fucked, i can hear everyone, but my mic seems to stop working entirely, on tarkov too, i have reinstalled drivers and checked that theres no other possible device for sound to go out, so i don't know what else to do but post it here and hopefully run into someone else with the same problem

There is a setting in your windows microphone properties to give applications exclusive access to your microphone. Disable it.

Control Panel > Sound > Change sound card settings > Recording > Properties of your microphone > Advanced tab

I have had this problem across 2 entirely different PCs and on both Win10 and Win11. The only thing common between the two is the same wired Arctis 5 headset.
My best workaround that I've found is closing Discord during the entire raid loading screen.
I have now unchecked the box for exclusive control of the microphone that is described above. I'll report back if that worked or not.

The best workaround that I've found is opening the list of my recording devices and leaving that window open. When the mic stops working during Raid loading screen, I right click my microphone in that list and DISABLE, then right click it again and ENABLE. Takes about 5 seconds and its the fix I'll use for now.

i have same problem windows 11 are you guys all plugged in USB or using 3.5 audio jack ??? i am on USB and always lost my micophone my friend is plugged with 3.5 audio jack and don't have this problem

First time having this problem since I started playing Tarkov. And it seems to only be happening on Woods... Disables my Mic across the whole system, and if I reset my Arctis 7 USB hub I loose sound in the game, but my Mic and sound in Windows are fine. Its been years, I guess this is a forever problem.

Just googled this as its been a big issue for me. Happens so far on: Reserve, Interchange, Woods and Shoreline. Probably isnt map specific. Cuts all mic input. I find a bush and reset the PC is so far the only fix I have found, which is not ideal. any answers...??

Buddy and I experienced this bug just last night, we have recently returned to Tarkov. Never had a problem with Discord + Tarkov in the past, but that was prior to this new in-game VOIP feature. REALLY annoying. Has anyone found a permanent fix? Going to try the recommendation from RedKonflict above.. but others have said this doesn't fix it.

This is the second or third post I am reading on this topic. Going through the same issue, tried almost everything in all of the posts and nothing helps..., I can hear my friends just fine, game isn't lagging, no prior issues with my headset mic, works fine with all other games.

When getting into a raid my microphone either starts lagging horrendously for my friends and communication becomes a huge pain in the behind or it just stops working. Once It actually stopped working completely even after the raid ended, had to restart my PC.

The most common issue is my microphone would just start lagging for my friends on discord and reconnecting 1-2 times into the discord call/server would solve my issue, but, you can see how this can become very tedious and inconvenient considering Tarkov is a game that requires 100% of your attention and uninterrupted communication with teammates is essential.

Hopefully this bump helps.

Same Issue, nothing helps mic keeps disabling itself, have to unplug the headset and plug back in, has been like this last wipe aswell. also noticed with patch 13, in-game sounds bugs out, requires a game reset

Here is how to fix it. Go to your discord sound settings and change your input device to "Default" instead of your mic. Than go in to sound settings in Tarkov and do the same there. Been playing 7 raids now and haven't had any problems!
