Hi,

I'm playing around a little bit with outgoing and incoming webhooks, and I noticed that while plain URLs in incoming webhooks work as specified in the formatting docs at https://api.slack.com/docs/formatting (i.e. they're linkified automatically by Slack), they don't behave the same in outgoing webhooks. In responses to outgoing webhooks, plain URLs don't get linked unless I wrap them in angle brackets or use the <http://example.com|example> format, or send the parse=full parameter (which then disables the angle bracket formatting).

Is this intentional, or a bug? It'd be nice if I didn't have to do the URL detection so I can wrap them in brackets myself.

Thanks,
G.

Hi G,

This was unintentional, we've just pushed out a change so that urls in responses to outgoing webhooks now get linkified. Thanks for pointing it out, and sorry to take so long to roll out a fix,

Paul
