Incoming WebHooks, link_names and usernames with dot (.)

Hi,
I can't seem to work out why linking usernames with dot like user.name does not work with incoming webhooks...

Any idea how to make this work?

are you putting quotes around it?

Mind sending the full payload you're using (minus the token)? It sounds like you're referring to linking names within the text, which might be a bug on our side, but I need the payload to be sure.

My test payload is:

I post this to https://xxx.slack.com/services/hooks/incoming-webhook?token=hjhjvfhvhgkfkghsbhj. Message apears on channel, but username is not linked, like this:
