Simulations detector above infinite source.

Dear EGSperts

This is clearly something that has been done before and EGS4/egsnrc code ought
to be around to handle it. Has anyone looked at reponse of say a finite-size
Germanium detector (with appropriate metal shell) above an infinte comtaminated
surface?

Yes, I could use DOSRZ or DOSRZnrc but a lot of time would be spent simulating
paths which never reach the detector. I suspect there is a more efficient way
& I would be pleased to learn of it.
