The IMPACT DIsaster Response Unit based out of Orange County, California
is looking for volunteers to help staff its unique and one-of-a-kind
Disaster Response/Disaster Communications Unit. The IMPACT Unit is a
mutual aid/mutual support groups that works with all public service
agencies, cities, and other organizations like the American Red Cross,
REACT Teams, RACES groups, ARES groups, and many more.
No training or equipment is required. Just the need to want to help
those who live around us.
We have training classes set-up in first-aid/CPR, basic search & rescue,
disaster preparedness, communications at a disaster scene, amateur radio
workshops, advanced first-aid/EMT First Responder, and many more.
The IMPACT Disaster Response Unit utilizes all radio bands including:
Amateur, GMRS, CB, FRS, Cellular, Business/Commercial Bands and many
more.
