We will begin upgrading all Solaris batch servers (i.e. broncos)
from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9 Tuesday, August 26, 2003.
Before then you may test your batch jobs in Solaris 9 by
submitting them to a special test queue, sol9testq.

For example:

bsub -q sol9testq foo

We expect most Solaris 8 applications to run with no changes in
Solaris 9. However, applications built in Solaris 9 may have
problems if they run on a batch server that has not yet been
upgraded. To avoid this problem during the transition, you can
request a Solaris 9 batch server by specifying "-R sol9" on the
bsub command.

If you have any questions or problems please send email to unix-admin.
