As announced last week, we plan to install OpenSSH V3 on all
SCS-maintained systems this Thursday morning. Following this
change, users on other systems will not be able to pass AFS
tokens to SLAC machines unless they also upgrade to OpenSSH V3;
and conversely, systems that have previously upgraded to V3
will once again be able to exchange AFS tokens with SLAC
machines. Users on other systems will still be able to connect
but will have to use PasswordAuthentication to make the
connection or issue a subsequent klog command to get a new
token.
