Maple8 has been installed for central SLAC-supported UNIX platforms.
As of tomorrow, the usual Maple links will be as follows:

maple_new, xmaple_new, mint_new, updtsrc_new will refer to Maple8;
maple, xmaple, mint, updtsrc will refer to Maple7;
maple_old, xmaple_old, mint_old, updtsrc_old will refer to Maple6.

As previously announced, a standalone version for Windows may be
downloaded from the X: public disk. Go to

X:\Applications\Supported\Maple\8\Windows\Windows

and doubleclick the WindowsSetup.exe icon. When asked for a serial
number, enter the one found in readme.txt two directory levels up
(i.e. X:\Applications\Supported\Maple\8\readme.txt). Standalone
versions for Windows and Linux may also be obtained on CD-ROM from
me at my office (SCS 348). Call me to make sure I'm there.

Willy.
