Maple 8 now available for Linux and Windows

Maple8 is now available for installation on Windows and Linux
desktops. Windows users connected to the SLAC network may install
Maple8 directly from the public X: drive. If you are using Linux
or are not connected to the SLAC network (or your connection is too
slow) or if you simply prefer, you may borrow a CD-ROM by picking
it up in my office, room 348 in the computer center. Call me at
x2280 to make sure I am here.

Maple8 is also installed on the central UNIX servers, but we have
to wait for the proper license file and its installation before
making it available. When it is, there will be another announcement.
