Thanks for the email.
I went personally to Nimal's place in Mottunna and paid my respects
to his Late Mother. She was 96 at the time of passing away. Such a
fortunate mother and family too.They had previously arranged a Pinkama
that evening and I was to attend it on the same evening and see the
mother as well as she had arrived especially for it. Fate had it that
Mother had to pass away with Blessed thoughts of the Buddha, Dharma
and Sangha; and I had to attend the Pinkama, not the proper Pirith
Ceremony but, the Last rites of Nimal's most loved mother.It is what
the Buddha taught and other religious leaders as well.

So I conveyed our sympathies personally and also mentioned that Nimal
is a prominent Sri Lankan among the community in Qatar and remembered
the service he is doing. So my presence was in fact on behalf of all
of you, the SLCC and my loved Sri Lankan brothers, sisters and
children. Please convey this to all of them if you could. Also
consider sending some flowers. Funeral will be at Nawalapitiya.
