Gift Pack to Soldiers

Dear Community Members

The below email has been sent to SLCC Qatar by the Seva Vanitha Army
Branch requesting for the following items to be given to our injured
soldiers when admitted to hospitals. The delay in forwarding this
email to the Community was due to the fact that SLCC Qatar had to
communicate with the Sri Lanka Army clarifying certain matters
pertaining to shipment and waiver of customs duty.

Items requested: (SHOULD BE IN A PACK)
1. PAIR OF SLIPPERS
2. TOOTH BRUSH & TOOTH PASTE
3. MEDIUM SIZED TOWEL
4. SOAP
5. RAZOR
6. 2 ENVELOPES WITH STAMPS

This pack can be handed over to the Sri Lanka Embassy between 9:00AM
and 8:00PM commencing SUNDAY 16th November to SUNDAY 30th November
2008.

We received your email address from Colonel Gotabhya Gunasekare who
informed us of your willingness to support us. While thanking you for
your concern we would like to inform you that we are in urgent need of
emergency packs that we provide all our injured soldiers when admitted
to the hospitals. Each pack should contain the following items.

Pair of Slippers
Tooth-paste and tooth brush
Medium sized towel
Soap
Razor
Two envelopes with stamps

Please let us know if you are in a position to donate these items.
