Monday MPW-2 Update - Oct 17, 2022

Hello everyone,

Please see updates for this week.

Caravel Redesign

• Caravel design update is close to final release using the SKY130A PDK.

• RTL clean

• GL simulation clean

• Single digit LVS  issues all related to power routing

• Single digit timing violations all within a single block

• The final run for verification is in process.

• A second verification pass will be done using SKY130B support reram layers.

MPW-2 Hardware

• The complete set of  Caravel Nucleo Hat boards are back from assembly.  The remaining material is arriving.

• We will begin shipping MPW-2 development boards, breakout boards and parts to project owners this week.

MPW-7

• As we get final timing data and constraints for the updated Caravel design, we will be sending out information for how to complete a timing check for their project submissions.

• We will also be providing the instructions for setting GPIO defaults to ensure that if there is a problem with the management core, the GPIOs will already be set correctly for your project.

• We expect to have that sent out by the end of this week.  We will give everyone who submitted to MPW7 one week to complete both tasks and will support you with any problems you encounter.
