Okay, so... this whole winter did not work out quite as I'd hoped in a lot
of ways. But, I'm putting that behind and forging ahead, and here's the
skinny: rather than try to jump back into four teams and all that, I'm going
to start in with one mission, one event. It connects to the events of the
shake-up that I outlined before, but not in ways that may seem obvious to
the characters from the start.
So.
This is a hot start. In a few minutes, I'm going to post something from
Gunny Hicks. In short, he's been contacted by someone from the SGC and told
he'll be met for a pickup. He's been home on leave following the events of
the shake-up.
Here's the guidelines:
If you want to be involved, pick a character who was out of the SGC for
whatever reason on this particular night. If all goes well, there will be
opportunities to play characters in the SGC, but for right now, it's "dark."
You don't need to commit any character to any particular thing except to
answering a phone call and being whisked away from a remote location.
Please post your character's contact, pickup, or arrival on the HMS King
George VI in Earth orbit by May 3 (so, about two weeks). On May 4, I will
post a briefing to take place in the ship's briefing room, and we'll go from
there. If you can't post until later, or don't see this until after May 3,
then contact me on the side and I'll find a way to work your character in.
As for NPCs, I'll be creating some crew for the ship and posting them to the
site. There may or may not be some canon characters floating around, but as
usual, they'll be used very sparingly.
Any questions, I'm happy to answer, but I'm hoping any that are of the
"what's going on?" persuasion will be answered in-game, as it were.
Otherwise, let's post!
Dave
