Officially headers support markdown (as indicated by the little logo next to the value option). However I cant get it to work (bold, headers or anything else I tried). The font size, which can't be disabled seems to take precedence.

@abhijitnalekar these settings help in changing font and color only of the title, subtitle and footnote. What I am looking for is an option to change the font, color (text and background) of the columns in the report.
If I follow your screenshot, I am looking for an option to change font, color and background color only for the topmost cell (Column Header) which contains text 'ADMId'. For rest of the subsequent rows I do not need red color background (as given in your example), I am good with the defaults.
That screenshot is a Retool app. It's not called a "header" in the table properties because table properties offers no adjustment for it. But in the color selections there is a reference to these items:
This table gives global information about the font. The bounding box values should be computed using only glyphs that have contours. Glyphs with no contours should be ignored for the purposes of these calculations.
Note that the macStyle bits must agree with the OS/2 table fsSelection bits. The fsSelection bits are used over the macStyle bits in Microsoft Windows. The PANOSE values and 'post' table values are ignored for determining bold or italic fonts.
For historical reasons, the fontRevision value contained in this table is not used by Windows to determine the version of a font. Instead, Windows evaluates the version string (ID 5) in the 'name' table.
Note that, in a variable font with TrueType outlines, the left side bearing for each glyph must equal xMin, and bit 1 in the flags field must be set. Also, bit 5 must be cleared in all variable fonts. For general information on OpenType Font Variations, see the chapter, OpenType Font Variations Overview.
Also, in a variable font, the minimum or maximum x or y values of control points can vary, and a tight bounding rectangle containing the outline or all points for an instance of any given glyph may be smaller or larger than for the default instance of that glyph. The xMin, yMin, xMax and yMax values in this table might or might not encompass the derived glyph outlines for an instance. Also, variation deltas are not provided for these values. If an application requires a bounding rectangle that encompasses the glyphs for a non-default instance of the font, the derived glyph outlines for the instance should be processed to determine a bounding rectangle.
Did anybody have any issue with headline module not appearing as set up in Marketo. I've added a headline text that is bold in Marketo in header image and when I send a sample in Outlook it appears as normal not bold, the font weight in id headline text in Marketo is font weight 900 so it should be bold but in Outlook the headline text in header is just normal. Can that be fixed somehow?
It might be that the issue here is with using the "Black" (900) font-weight of Arial - aka "Arial Bold" (a different font-family from "Arial") - which is not installed by default on all machines the way the "Arial" (bold/700) weight is. Here's some info I found online that might be helpful to check out: -email-font-weight-bold-in-outlook-is-not-working
If that's not an option b/c of branding or whatever, you might include the "Arial Bold" font (import -or- via , like the other webfonts you've already got setup) in your template . This still won't render for all inboxes, some ESPs just don't load custom fonts, so it leaves you in just about the same boat, but it'll work "better" for everything else (that does load custom fonts).
Maybe you could try to remove the inline styles that call out the Raleway font instead? It looks like those are located OUTSIDE the editable area so unfortunately you'll need to edit your template to apply this change. Once the template is approved, the new (updated) module will load in the Module Bar but it does not change anything that's already in an email. You'll need to reapprove the EM asset once the template is changed and approved and then go in and drag-n-drop a new module into the canvas to replace the old one and port the content over. Otherwise you'll be seeing the same thing in the module that you had in there before even though you've updated the template code to fix the issue.
1. It looks like the parent (which looks like it's on the template and not in the email) has a fixed font-weight of 900 to work with the Raleway font that's assigned at the top of the font-stack.
Maybe if you were to remove both the "Raleway" from the font family as well as the font-weight:900 here it might help? Ideally, this would be "Arial, sans-serif" for the font-family and "bold" for the font-weight.
2. It also looks like there are variable setup on the to control the color of the text as well as the size of the font (and text-align).
You might try also removing the tags inside the editable and using the variables for this module to set the font-size and color instead of doing that in the Rich Text Editor using the little color popup and the font-size dropdown in the toolbar (FWIW, it's almost always better to use the variables than the RTE if you've got the option). It looks like you've got one span that makes it 38px and white and then another inside that which makes the text black. I dont think the spans would change the font-family, but this'll help clean up the code in any case and should be an easier way to adjust the module's text size/color in the future.
To change the footer background color do the same as with the header. Select the first footer container by clicking on it. Make sure that you see the word 'Page Footer' to the upper left of the box. This will ensure that you have clicked on the correct element.
Go back to the first header of your project. When you hover over the header container you will see that inside there is another element called 'Heading'. Click on that to activate it. You will know that it is activated when you see the word 'Heading' in the upper right hand corner.
I am creating a header in one of my excel spreadsheets. In that header, I am linking a cell. The header reads & "2006 Forecast Data." I am able to edit the font for the "2006 Forecast Data" piece, but the value always comes up in the default font. I want to edit the font of the linked cell. How do I do that? Below is my code. Thanks!!!
