Rig control for FT-736R using Hamlib

I would love if Rig control would work with my FT-736R radio.  I have tested Hamlib separately feeding in the usual commands like f and F and it responds like it should.  However when trying to connect up cat control with Skyroof both indicators show black.  I have been told that FT-736R don't respond to cat commands like more modern rigs.  I was hoping this could get on the list to take a look at.  73's.  Scott KC4VI. Hi Scott,

The black LED's on the status bar mean that the option is not applicable. E.g., if the selected satellite transmitter has only a downlink but no uplink, the TX CAT LED is black. Please follow the setup instructions in User's Guide. Let me know which step fails.
