Hello Alex, thanks for the reply to my first post about skycad error messages. I did follow your advice and read up on what you said to go back a read up on what t can do. As Rocco Labella mention on what he did to fix the erro with his ts-2000 it is a over my head just dont have the techinal skills like some people do, Your software skyroof is great tool but at this time not sure what else to do with it. Any other work around?

Fixing the cable with a sharp knife and some electrical tape is not very difficult, but if you are looking for a pure software solution, you can try to use HamLib instead of SkyCAT to control your Kenwood. The instructions are in the SkyRoof User's Guide.
