Hey guys,

Has anyone tried antenna rotation in v.1.22? It has been re-worked, it now uses a mathematical optimization algorithm, and I would love to hear from you how it works. More info is here:

Hi Alex.
I have used it and conceptually it is excellent, especially when you want to work several satellite in quick succession.
One point I would note is that when the antenna is "flipping" for the start of a pass, the red dot on the compass doesn't update or refresh perhaps as it should.
This lead me to think the antenna was stuck, but in fact it was moving to the AOS point. (I have a webcam to monitor the aerials for such events)
I did get a couple of pop-up errors that gave me 3 choices and I just clicked continue and operations resumed. If I can find the screenshot I'll add it to this post.
Thank you again Alex. Great work.

I think this was induced because I changed the selected satellite from the list several times in quick succession and maybe the rotator interface was slow to respond?
In any event, clicking Retry or Ignore resumes the correct operation.

It looks like your connection to rotctld.exe is unreliable for some reason. This may explain why the red spot appears stuck while the antenna is rotating, this also explains the connection error.

This error, however, is not supposed to pop up a message box, SkyRoof is supposed to silently close and re-open the connection. Please send me the log, I will see why this happens.
