  • pass coverage area is now plotted in EarthView
  • improved performance of the waterfall - contributed by cozmogeek
  • fixed intermittent crashes on saving updated groups

Cozmogeek's improvements make the waterfall work even on the slow computers.

Have you ever wanted to know what areas are reachable in a given satellite pass? SkyRoof now computes the boundaries of the pass coverage and plots them on the EarthView panel:

Hi Alex ...

Nice feature (pass coverage area)

Comment: RTL-V4, when we "force" the TUNER gain to 50 in order to use its maximum gain, usually it was set to 49,6dB. Now it's 496. If I type 49,6 it displays 4,96E+16. The gain seems to be the max default anyway, looks like only a formatting thing.

Suggestion or request (cosmetic): can the pass coverage blue line be "red or green" if the sat is not eclipsed by the Earth. I'm aware that this is a completely different calculation routine. Sometimes I take a look at another app to see if one sat or another that have some sort of restriction when not lit by the sun are under Sun light or not.

Re.gain display - this is a bug, introduced with recent code change. Will be fixed in the next build.

Re. highlighting the sunlit satellites - this is something that I always wanted to do but never had time for. What I want is a large window, with a star map and satellite passes on it, the part of the pass in the eclipse shown in a different color - for those who want to view the satellites in the sky. This would also tell you when sunlight-dependent satellites are active. Now that other developers are starting to contribute their code to the SkyRoof project, is anyone interested in taking this task?
