External RIT Control / API?

Is there a way to connect an external RIT control? 

Like an external pot or encoder to control the RIT in the user interface? ..to an API or similar I may have missed out of?

I love the software! I've already created an ESP32 based controller that connects to 2 separate rotors (AZ/EL)  and it works very smooth with SkyRoof.

Do you have a particular model of a dial knob in mind?

Hi Alex, 

Anything that I can control externally. Like an encoder connected to a microcontoller over serial.. then I could write a quick routine on the computer to read the serial and set the RIT through to a TCP port or any other connection SkyRoof may have really.

I did see in another comment that the mouse scroll-wheel would do it, so technically write a quick "mouse emulator",  but I guess that will require SkyRoof to be the active window. 

I've already set up an external encoder for XIT to the IC-9700 over CI-V to an ESP, and I was thinking having RIT control for the SDR on a second encoder would make QSO's on the linear birds very user friendly. :)
