Hello Alex,

The Skyroof is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing it with us.

I am using IC-9700 and G5500D. The skycatd image is as follows.



In the RIG selection, one is just IC9700 and the other is IC9700-DUAL.  
Are the error messages normal? (Despite displaying an error message, it continues to operate without losing radio communication.)

As far as I understand, only when I use IC9700 does the radio allow sat mode. However, when I use IC9700-DUAL, the radio does not allow sat mode. Is this normal?

Finally, I couldn't find the INVERTED option required for some satellites (e.g., RS-44) in the software. Does the software set this option itself?

You should use skycatd.exe with IC-9700, not rigctld.exe. Rigctld.exe should be used only if the skycatd.exe does not have a json file for your radio. Even then, the best solution is to create a json file.

IC-9700-DUAL.json is an old file that I included as a fallback. I have just renamed it to IC-9700-old.json to avoid confusion.

To troubleshoot the errors shown in your screenshot, please enable logging in skycatd.exe by adding the -vvv and -f flags to the command line, and post the log file there.

I definitely use skycatd.exe.

When you include the -f switch on the command line of skycatd.exe, it writes its log to a file. Please send me that file, not the SkyRoof log.

Also, you do not need to include the -s and -t switches on the command line of skycatd.exe. The program does not understand -t at all, and the Baud rate (-s) defaults to 115200 anyway.

I read the entire Skyroof document to avoid asking this question. I think I must have missed something. I'm wondering what the warnings inside the green and red circles marked in red in the image mean.

These small icons indicate the satellite status, as reported on this web page maintained by AMSAT:

https://www.amsat.org/status/

SkyRoof automatically downloads information from this page to show those icons.

The AMSAT data is crowd-sourced, and the users of SkyRoof are encouraged to post their observations there. To do so, right-click on satellite's label on the frequency scale ans select Report to AMSAT in the popup menu.
