Can't get SDR RX to function

Hi - I was excited to to discover SkyRoof and have downloaded it to my W10 PC.

I've downloaded the latest satellite elements and everything seems good.

However, I've connected to my SDR and, unfortunately, nothing happens. I've been using the RX with SDR Uno and other interfaces, without issue, for years, so I know the system works. I've restarted the PC a couple of times (in the time-honoured fashion!) but there's been no change. The waterfall screen remains completely blank (dark blue) without a hint of signal.

Can anyone please suggest what might be going on and how I might be able to remedy this?

If its an SDR Play device, have you loaded the API on your system? https://www.sdrplay.com/api/

You'll need it to use any SDR software that is not created by SDR-PLAY such as HDSDR , SDR-Console or SKYRoof

Thanks for getting back to me Mike. I already use the SDR Play receiver with SDR Console.

Do I need a separate API for SkyRoof or does that API cover it?

Apologies if that was stating the obvious. Mine is working fine with my RSP 2 and the API loaded also using  SDR-Console and SATDUMP.

I will try and take some screen shots of my setting. I'll also try it with my RSP 1 (presently being used as a Panadaptor on another rig).

Stating the obvious? NOTHING is obvious to my aging and addled brain, so no apology required!

I see someone else on this group is having trouble with their RSPdx, and suffering the exact same symptoms as me.

On a hunch, I substituted my RSPdx for an old RSP1a and that worked immediately!

I'm sure this must be a clue. I'm happy for now but ideally, I'd like to use the RSPdx, if only for the multiple antenna ports.

Maybe this is a 'model-specific' bug.

If I remember correctly, some users were able to make RSPdx work with SkyRoof by setting its RF Gain to some specific value. Please search this group for details.
