I built mine with a 5" touch screen and GPS. It can handle all the satellite tracking internally and without internet or computer connection. You just have to upload TLE data to it. It's nice for portable and standalone setups and homebrew rotators. Even if you don't need all that functionality though, it's still a cheap and easy way to get automated control on your old rotator.
Anyways, I found managing & debugging it to be a bit tedious, so a while back I wrote a companion app that helps manage the TLE updating, as well as some of the many other functions and diagnostics on the controller.
More to the topic of SkyRoof, the latest update added a quick function to grab the TLE's from your SkyRoof groups and upload them into the controller.
An extremely niche thing that maybe 12 people in the world will find useful! Haha... but here it is.
