Hello.
I've created an IC-9100.json file.
Please feel free to use it if you like.
However, the split operation doesn't work properly.

Hi Kaz,

Thank you very much for developing the json file. The Split mode is used when the selected satellite transmitter has its uplink and downlink frequencies on the same band. One example of such transmitter is the APRS digipeater of the SONATE satellite. If you want to debug the split mode in your json file, you can enable detailed logging in skycatd.exe, then select this satellite and play with it a little bit, then send me the log file.

Thank you for your reply.
I'll give it a try when I have some time.

Hello Alex,

There was an issue where the transmit and receive modes didn't match when operating in split mode, so I've fixed it. I'm attaching the new file.

Hi and thank you for posting this! It works for my 9100! mostly.
Just wondering, do you know if there's any way to make it so I can give the VFO dial on the radio the priority, and have SkyRoof/SkyCat follow and maintain doppler from there?

I'm used to operating this way on linear birds, so I can scan the passband by hand, then once I find either a station calling or clear spot to make a call, I stop and let SatPC32 take over from there.
SatPC32 is great when it works, but it goes bonkers if you breathe on something wrong or look at it sideways, so I'm very happy to have found something new and fresh!!

Right now it seems communication is only one way from computer to radio, not the other way. Also, it doesn't set satellite mode or inverted sat mode on its own for some reason. I'm still in the 'figuring it out' phase here, so maybe I'm missing a setting.

Thank you all,

Hello!
I've improved the json file for the IC9100. Operation has become more stable since I hid the subband display in simplex and split modes.
I'm experiencing a problem switching between the V/U transponder and the U/V transponder. While I don't know the cause, one solution is to try the following:
First, when the problem occurs, select the V/A transponder in A mode for the AO-7 satellite. Then, select the desired satellite, which often resolves the issue.

Kaz san,

Thank you again for developing the json file for IC-9100. I have included your file, with proper credits in the comment, in the SkyCAT project. When I worked on the file for IC-9700, I also faced the problem of switching between the V/U and U/V satellites. The problem occurs because the radio does not allow setting the Main and Sub receivers to the same band. The solution is to use an alternative command ("alt_messages" in the file). If the Set Frequency command fails, SkyCAT then tries the alternative command which swaps Main and Sub first, then sets the frequency again. This command is highlighted with yellow here:

Thank you for the update, Kaz san. I have included your changes in the SkyCAT repository:

I have also removed the "ignore_error" entries from the commands since they do not belong there.

The users who run SkyRoof with IC-9100 please download the latest JSON file from the link above.
