Attached is a command set file for FT-991A. Please test with SkyCAT 1.4!

Alex,
I tested it without success. Here is the SkyCAT log file.

FYI, I tested it in Split and Simplex. Maybe you need to add a selection in SkyRoof for the FT-991A

Hi Gary,

Thank you for the test! According to the log, your radio did not reply to any commands, it looks like there was no communication between the program and the radio. Please check the COM port settings, e.g., if the Baud rate set in the radio's menu is the same as on your command line.

Alex,
Before the new json, the rx and tx cat indicators at the bottom of the skyroof window would flash green/red. Now they are just red.
Here is the log file.

Hi Alex - All -

I'm getting started with testing the 991A and the 'CAT' control seeme to work fine with no errors in the logs.
I'm not getting a audio feed with the 991A to SR as I can see the waterfall fill with signals when I switch back to the rtl-sdr with a antenna switch.

I must not be diverting the audio from the 991 to SR correctly. I've attached the current config as I suspect I have something not set correctly (I've tired several throughput options).

Appreciate any feedback - Thx,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Thank you very much for the logs! They are always welcome, even if everything works fine.

SkyRoof does not receive audio from the transceiver. It needs 3 MHz of spectrum to cover the SAT segment, but transceivers usually deliver only 3 kHz or so. The waterfall is plotted only from the SDR, and all signal processing in the program is done using the SDR data stream.

Re. your log. It indicates that SkyCat is not running, or not listening on the TCP port. It starts listening only when it opens the COM port to the radio, so if your port settings are wrong or the radio is not powered on, you will have no connection. A log from SkyCat can show what is actually happening. Add these flags -vvv -f to enable detailed logging to a file.
