Hello Alex, hello group!

Thanks , Alex in advance for this wonderful software which makes listening to sats quick and much more easier!

I´m really interested in receiving sats but I don´t have an AZ/EL-antenna-system. Now my request: would it be basicly possible or is there an interest to integrate a functionality for rotating antenna-systems with only an azimuth-rotator?

In my case I have two AZ-rotators, one for HF, the other one for VHF/UHF. I run both with an ERC-M which is able to run either an AZ/EL-system or an AZ/AZ-system with only one COM-port. I run my ERC-M as "AZ/AZ"-system. In detail: rotator#1 AZ for HF-QRGs and rotator#2 turns all my 2m/70cm-yagis

I tried to run all this with Skyroof but at the moment Skyroof ecognizes my HF-rotator (#1) as AZ-axis and my VHF/UHF-rotator (#2) as ELEVATION-axis.

What I´m looking for is a switch in Skyroof which allos to deliver only AZ-data to the rotator(s). Best case at my station would be: both antennas follow the AZ-data coming from Skyroof. The ELEV.data will not be transferred if that mentioned switch is set to "on".

Would this be a thought to consider for hams around the world who are interested in SATs but don´t have an AZ/EL-antenna-system?

Thanks for consiering this.

The use of an AZ/EL rotator interface to control two AZ rotators is a pretty non-standard solution. The only reliable way to make this work correctly is to have rotctld.exe modified so that it understands such setup. You can try a work around by setting the Minimum Elevation = 0 and Maximum Elevation = 0 in the SkyRoof settings. This may or may not work, you have to test this yourself.
