Greetings,

How are you folks using SkyRoof and Linear Satellites? esp. if used with a Radio like the FT-847?
CAT,  rotor tracking all work great. Where I struggle is with linear sats like the AO-7. The band is 100kHz and manual adjustments allow only +/-25khz. setting a manual frequency disables many of the controls.

Selecting Sat and Band all work - what I'm missing is a function to temporarily suspend CAT control. Yes, I can override the frequency but CAT is constantly fighting it. Listen to a freq more than a sec or two and CAT asserts and takes over again.
Disabling RX/TX CAT control reverts the radio to simplex and different frequencies.

Unless I'm missing something fundamental, a function to temporarily suspend CAT while leaving the radio configured as is would make this much simpler. Ideally, Skyroof would  pick-up the frequency from the radio upon resumption of CAT control.

I'm not using any SDR - just the radio.

Thanks
Marcel

You should not use Manual Correction to tune in the transponder segment. This is just a correction, as its name implies, you set it once and do not touch it again. Use the mouse commands on the frequency scale instead, see Frequency Scale in User's Guide for instructions - this works even if you do not have an SDR.

I am not sure why you want to disable CAT control, please explain.
