Hi,
is someone using Sarctrac mk3 Rotor with SkyRoof?
I can't get it running - no error from hamlib and SkyRoof but no reaction from the Rotor.
Rotor Light in Statusbar is green
Azimuth and Elevation angle is changing while the Sat moves but the fields below the Display of the Angles are showing  - - -  with a red  background.

It works with HamRadio Deluxe (with some little problems) but here I can't get any reaction out of it by using SkyRoof.

Sarctrac uses the  EASYCOMM II protocol.

The developer of Sarctrac said:
No one seems to implement the AMSAT EASYCOMM II protocol properly. Our rotator needs a terminating 0x0a for tracker software commands, as per the protocol, and a terminating 0x0d for user control commands

Cause I can't get running the Rotor and also my FT-991a with SkyRoof, I think I missed some basics ...
I am using Win11, actual Patch-Level and switched off the Client Firewall while testing...

Has someone an Idea?

Tnx de Achim DD3ZM

Hi Achim,

I have added a new answer to the FAQ section of User's Guide: Q: How to troubleshoot the rotator control? Please see if it helps you to find the cause of the problem. If you determine that the protocol is not implemented correctly in HamLib, you can create an issue in their GitHub repository using this link:
