Hi Alex,

I got 3 issues that I would like to mention.

1) My rotator issues are not solved yet, I'm rewriting the firmware. Will let you know about the progress. The Beta version work OK the Final does not. I get a lot of timeouts as you already pointed out. But as said i'm working on that.

2) Other issue is I'm testing with Yaesu FT-818, after a few small adjustments to the FT-817 file the 818 is working now. But I need to test it more thoroughly. Will let you know about.

I'm also tesing with FT-897D, RigCtld it works as a charm but in Skycatd after adjustments in the FT-847 file it's still not working properly.
Perhaps one of the other OM's has it already operational and is willing to share the file with me.

3) I'm residing in an urban environment and when I use the android App "Look4Sat" I can set a minimum elevation angle. I've set it to 40' deg. In Skyroof I see all birds from 0 - 90 deg. Perhaps you can buildin a filter function in a future release that enables the user to set an angle which is applicable to their urban environment. At this moment I sort the birds on Max Angle and go to the bottom of the table and look for the active birds to track.

that's it for now.

Hi Gert,

Thank you for sharing your status. I cannot wait to see your adjustments to the FT-817 file. For FT-897D, the FT-847.json file is probably not the best starting point since 847 is a duplex radio but 897 is  not. Perhaps FT-817.json would be a better choice.

I will think about filtering the passes by  max elevation angle.
