Good evening Alex & Group.
I added some additional birds to my Amateur Group, but when I try and log a QSO with the new satellite, I get a message saying the Satellite name is missing, and do I want to continue?
From what I can deduce, the problem is that the LoTW Name is missing from the data file.
I'm not sure how to correct the missing name, other that to type it in to the SAT field each time I log a new QSO.
The two I am having problems with are HADES-ICM and BOTAN but I suspect there may be others.
Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve please?
Kindest regards

LoTW wants the Satellite Name entered exactly as on the list of accepted
satellites. For instance, if you enter the satellite name as AO7 instead of AO-7 the data
will be rejected during the upload. Their list is available on this page, scroll to the bottom:

HADES-ICM should be entered as SO-125, and BOTAN is not on their list at all.

SkyRoof keeps a copy of this list in the Data Folder, the file name is lotw_sat_names.json. It maps NORAD codes of the satellites to their LoTW names. You can edit this file and add the new satellites as LoTW updates their list. Then you have to download satellite data, LoTW reads this list when it imports the downloaded SatNOGS database.
