Hi, I used the wrong email address to send this, here it is again:

Hello All,

It's been a while since I last updated the status on skyrails (quite a while.. I guess). But since people asked, here it is..

-> I'm currently doing my PhD on skyrails, so continuity on the project is pretty much guaranteed.

-> It can now support ~3000 nodes all at once, if they are not grouped and just displayed as is. With a fairly recent and powerful computer, you can probably display ~6000 nodes with no problem

-> It can support up to 40k (or theoretically, unlimited) nodes if you can organise the nodes into groups, as they'll help with the display and with the positioning algorithms' complexity

-> new (programmable) UI, for a more normal UI experience (can't show this without a video I guess)

-> everything's still under construction, and there's incomplete things here and there.

-> I'm working on protein viz right now, and that's probably where the later video will be taken from.

-> the scripting language have changed yet again, and I'm thinking of overhauling it even more.. to make it more normal.

-> If you have interesting data in the range of 2000-10000 nodes, please contact me. Already have proteins though.

-> I will get back to all the people that I promised I'll work with their data on, I got a few in my "queue".

That should be it.. I would say that's the clearest "update" I've ever done. If there's any other questions, feel free to post it up here..

Thanks
