i switched to git controll version system http://git-scm.com

development will be continued in this repo which is available at bitbucket.

Hello,

It's good for you that you want to try to continue the work on the
project, and I wish you a good luck on this.
However, SkypeTalking was one of the most exciting periods in my
computer life, and I don't wanna people forget about who created it, who
wrote the most of the code and also who helped to me in developing the
project. Therefore, I want to keep the original website with the
original code under my name.
Regarding the source code, remember that SkypeTalking is GPL licensed,
which means that anyone can modify the code as long as he or she shares
it with others, and everyone is welcome to continue it's development and
make a fork of it. So, if you, or anyone else wants to make his/her own
distribution of the program, please do this on Your own websites. I
think it would be fair for everyone including myself as a project
creator and a long-time developer.

P.P.S. Hrvoje, you will never be forgotten. What you've did for us
highly improved our experience with Skype. We won't change the
documentation much, we'll only reflect that since 1.0 it's a fork of
your original (unfortunately discontinued) project.
P.P.P.S. Beqa decided to continue SkypeTalking developing (and I've
cheerfully accepted this) because he found a (probably also forked)
Skype4Py realization with some great fixes such as the well-known
"first message not being read" bug in it.

I have the ability to translate but do not have
much experience doing technical translations nor
the time to commit to doing anything of the sort
on a regular basis. If there is a one-time need
and I have the time at the time, I would gladly consider helping out.

Besides that, I actualy rarely use skt since I am
on good old skype 3.8 still or use gw connect from time to time.

One reason I rarely use skt is that my carpal
tunnel throws fits with the key combos skt uses

I am just glad the project is open again as so many people use it.

Is there need to run native skype in the
background still as I thought it is possible to
build an independent skype clone by now.

English and German for the most part. I also have
5 years of Latin, and a little bit of French and
Spanish but with these, I am sure you get ppl who
are fluent in them and I doubt there is need for
a Latin translation. Pope Francis is one of those
multilingual units himself. *g*

Hello Bega,

I have a few feature suggestions about SkypeTalking:
1. Possibility to automatically switch the chat monitoring to the chat
whose window has focus at the time, rather than we have to switch to it
manually, if before that there were chat messages from another chat.
This feature should however be optional and toggled with a check-box in
SkypeTalking's preferences.
2. Also, I think that there should be an option to disable the automatic
switching the monitoring to a specific chat, when there is a new message
from it. That will be useful because sometimes the automatic switching
may cause confusion in the user.
3. A keystroke to switch the chat monitoring in a succession. I know
that SKT plus the function keys do that, but some users find it
difficult to press such keystrokes single-handed, and they want a single
keystroke to switch chat monitoring between all currently opened chats
rather than F1-F10 for the last 10 chats.
4. A list of currently transferring files with details. For example - we
press SKT+F twice and in the list of current file transfers list, we get
not only the file name and the sender/recipient, but all the other info
that we get for a currently monitored file transfer with SKT+F. If
possible, the list could be arranged in columns like the "Contacts
manager" allowing us to read only a specific column on demand (e.g.
speed or percentage).

And a bug report, if I may:
1. The dialogs of SkypeTalking have the same issue than the one of NVDA
- they are not centered on the screen and specially on screens with low
resolution (eg. 800x600), part of some of those dialogs are hidden
(ofscreen). Not a big deal, but I thought that you may want to know it.

I think it deals with either WxPython or with WxUtilities (Guy
components dependency).
And yes, we need to dig into it more thoroughly.
However, Kostadin has a good point but I think all these issues should
be logged in the issue tracker at Bitbucket
(http://bitbucket.org/beqa/skypetalking/issues).

It would be nice to find a workaround to allow SkypeTalking to read the
Facebook chat windows. Currently the Skype Wraper library allows only to get
chat messages with Skype contacts.

skype came with new skype kit and no longer develops skype desktop api

I think we all would like FB access. I think at one time when Skype
Talking was closed, they said they were off to develop a separate FB
client for use for us screen reader users. Let's hope someone does it
sometime!
