Feb 16 - Skyline Football Parents Club elections

Calling all parents of 2012 Skyline Football Players:   save the date of Thursday, February 16, at 6:30, for election of 2012 officers for the Skyline Football Parents Club. 

 

The SFPC supports the football program by planning the banquet, homecoming and other special events; by fundraising so we can buy the equipment and other items needed; by coordinating player registration and collection of team fees; and by serving as a “sounding board” for the coaches.   The SFPC meets once a month at the school.

 

For 2012, our President is Kelly Elam (Kelly...@sbcglobal.net), parent of Willie; our Vice President is Michelle Traster (mich...@msn.com), parent of Austin.

 

At the February 16 meeting, we will elect the other officers.  These will include:

President-Elect (“learn the ropes” with the intention to be president in 2013)

Vice President-Elect (to be VP in 2013)

Treasurers (collect, track and deposit money; sign forms for payment; hoping for 2 people to share this)

Communications chair (sends out email reminders – like the one you’re reading right now!)

Marketing chairs (gets corporate sponsorships)

Fundraising chairs (plan 1 or 2 fundraisers for the team)

Registrar (create a listing of all players and contact information)

Secretary (takes minutes of meetings)

 

 

With the changes in the coaching staff, the parents club will be very important to making sure our 2012 season goes well.  PLEASE consider joining us on Thursday, February 16, at 6:30 pm for SPFC officer elections.
