Hi there,

We're putting together a website using skyline, and it needs to have
two blog-like sections -- one for "News and Events" and the other for
"Publications".

How would you recommend that we do this? After looking at the demo,
we're leaning towards creating two completely separate models, both
inheriting from Skyline::Article::Data (inside Skyline::Article).

I should mention that this is the first site that we're trying with
Skyline, so we're pretty new here.

Thanks!
Clinton

Hi Clinton,

Nice to see that you're using SkylineCMS to put together a website.

As for your question. I would go for 2 separate models as you wrote
and create them as described in:
http://www.skylinecms.nl/documentation/guides/how_to_create_content_elements

This will give you 2 separate entities that can be managed and styled
regardless of the other.

If you run into problems or have any suggestions just let us know.

Cheers,
Luis
