Hi all,

Good morning.
Being a new Etsy/Skyline user, I am seeking out help from the forum from its Developer group and the Experienced Users.

For a continuous data feed into the Skyline, i wrote up a script to pump valid data every hour, followed by 1 min of anomaly, with modifications as well in settings.py(skyline/src). (Using UDP 2025)

Question1>
If i keep localhost:1500 open all the time, the web ui gets refreshed with latest data, as well as showing anomalies.
However, if i refresh the page, everything goes blank and the Anomalies.json in static directory disappears.
Has anyone seen this issue earlier. Would be glad if someone could share the solution for fixing this problem.

Question2>
Few of the times, when i re-run the same code, the data or anomalies doesn't getting displayed in UI. I have to flushall redis and re-start the server stack to get it all working.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks
T Paul

Hi Thushara -

Would you mind sending along your data input script? anomalies.json should have nothing to do with the web UI - it gets written every 30 seconds by analyze.py, and that should happen regardless of whether the webapp is working or not. Perhaps your browser is caching the file somehow?

So what I suspect is happening is that it is detecting the anomalies for a short while, and then once the anomalies disappear, anomalies.json disappears - this is by design. If you perhaps extend the duration of the anomalous data and watch the web UI during that time, you should be able to see the anomalies.
