I am using Skylight to distribute a survey to professional designers.
Is it possible to send a follow up message only to those who haven't
responded to the initial survey?

Thanks!

If the Delivery Type of the respondent pool is "E-Mail Personal URL", then you can.

Here is how:
In the Respondent Pool List page, check the checkbox next to the respondent pool that you want to send a follow up message.
Then click on the "message" button on top.
You will then see the "Send Survey Notification" page.
Here, check the checkbox "
Send notification only to respondents that have not completed the survey".
Then follow the prompts on the screen to complete the process.

Thank You!

I will be sending the survey to a third party who will then send it to
respondents. Will these responses still be tracked and recorded if I
don't have e-mail addresses? Will I still be able to send a follow up
e-mail? I will not have e-mail addresses for privacy purposes. Sorry
so many questions.

Hi Leigh
Tracking and follow up email from within Skylight is only possible when you use the email personal URL response type.

If someone else is sending the email, then they will be sending a single link URL and the email tracking would be handled outside Skylight.

There are 2 ways for you to track without email personal URL:
1. By self report by respondents-- You could add a question to the survey at the beginning asking respondents to input a respondent ID number which could be included in the email to respondents, again this is managed outside skylight.
2. You could create a respondent pool named as a unique number for each respondent in the survey. See the information in the skylightkb.wsu.edu site for more information on setting up respondent pools.  If you have hundreds of respondents, this option may not be practical.  But with this option you could look at the pool list and see who answered and only send email back to those that had not answered.
