This has happened to me several times.  I am using Sky version 8.013.  When I click on the edit/print option the Word document opens with no coding, so it is one big lump of an index.  This has occurred when I use a saved template for a particular publisher.  I have used a work-around by opening a new index and importing the file without using the saved template, but I would really like to know whether there is a setting that is causing this.

I wonder what's doing that?
I use the Edit/Print function too but don't click to get there. I press Shift and F12 at the same time and never have this happen to me. Could it be a mouse-thing? If you'd use the keyboard to Edit/Print, would this cure this issue?

Sounds to me like there might be a setting in the saved template that is messing things up. Try Options, Document, and see what's listed in the Output Format section when you're using that template. It might need to be changed to one of the RTF options.

If this happens only with that particular template, I’m wondering if there is a setting in that template that is causing the issue, or some kind of corruption with that template.

Can you recreate the settings in that template and save it as a new template and does that solve the issue?
