Changing Templates

My brain is not working this morning. Can somebody please remind me how to change a template?

One of my locator configurations isn't working and I wanted to look at how I'd configured it in the template I used, but I can't seem to get into the template to see. 

It might be less hassle to create a new template from scratch, but surely there must be a quick way to tweak an already existing template?

What's cool with templates is we can change them. 

Here you are in your current index X. You need a template from a previous one, but not the entire thing. 

While index X is open, save it as a template and name it something like 'almost.' Options>Save as Template.

Then go to Options>Load from Template which will list all available templates. Choose the one you need and look at the locators then. Make a note of them.

Go once again to Options>Load from Template and choose 'almost.' Then fix the locator formatting and Save it one more time with a name that makes sense to you.

Another thing I do sometimes is to open that previous index with the locators conforming to the way I need them just to see and make a note of those. No need then to do all this as I suggested above. 

It's really not possible to look at the templates themselves -- just the effects they have on formatting.
