Hi Sharon,
I occasionally do an embedded index project just using SKY. I index as
usual with SKY 7, then embed the records to Word. It exactly works as
steps a., b., and c. you mention.
I tried to recreate your problem but can't. It shows up perfectly as {xe
"Wilson, Winifred"} wherever I drop it.
It helps to have Word and SKY Index side by side on your screen, so as
to see the process of dragging & dropping a record to Word. When
dragging a record the cursor becomes a prohibition sign while still
being above SKY and changes to an arrow + attached rectangle as soon as
it is above Word. Does it behave like that, too, when you are dragging a
record?
