hi folks.
I am indexing an edited volume on dance, and the first author referred (in a glossary....) to tangos. Every other author refers to tango-- singular and set roman. Autocorrect is unwavering in its commitment to the plural italics. Is there anything I can do-- short of removing the entry from chapter 1 and hoping I remember to put it back later and updating autocomplete -- to avoid this ridiculously annoying quirk?

Thank you,
Rudy Leon

Hi Rudy,

Just enter a space before typing "tango" to deactivate AutoComplete in
the new record you are adding.

Alternatively, delete the plural in the AutoComplete Manager and refresh it.

I believe you can go into the list in Autocorrect and remove the term you don’t want. At that point, I believe Autocorrect will pick up the new term.

Yes, you can go into Autocorrect and remove like Judi says. I also recently discovered the "Refresh" button in there which will delete all previous autocorrect and replace with the current ones in the file. (I've used this when making a template from another index.)

When I read Rudy's message the first time I overlooked the term
"Autocorrect". Can I learn something new or are you using the wrong
term? Just asking because "Autocorrect" doesn't seem to be documented in
the SKY 8 manual.

That's why my yesterday's reply is about AutoComplete.

When you are loading a template you can choose not to load the autocomplete file.

That is also correct. You can eliminate a single entry—or you can opt not to include the Autocomplete—and thus to start over on the Autocomplete.
