Changing note text to ignored text (Sky 8)

Today I had about 10 entries with the Arabic definite article (al-) that had to be changed to ignored text. I accidentally told Sky to change them to note text. I saw my error right away and attempted a Find & Replace. Sky found all the cases of al- in note text, but didn’t change them to ignored text. There weren’t too many of them, so I changed them manually.

Perhaps I should have changed them first to unmarked text? Am I missing something? It was just an annoyance, not a major problem, but it could have been more of a headache if there had been a lot of them. Is this a bug that should be reported?
